NAME THAT “TOONE”
Remember
Saturday mornings when cartoons were the ONLY choice on TV schedules?
I thought it might be fun (and provide some neuronal stimulation) if we
took a walk in this direction down Memory Lane. How many can you
recall? (Answers on page ??) And I didn’t have time to research it,
but were any of their “voices” by anyone we know today?? Let us know
through email.
- What kind of animal was Pepe’ LePue?
- How about Foghorn Leghorn?
- What cartoon show used this line frequently,
“Abba-dabba-do!!”? What were the names of the two babies later
added to the script?
- Who was smarter, Bullwinkle or Rocky?
- Who had a terrific stuttering problem (and often
served as the icon ending for Looney Toone cartoons)?
- Who has a horrific overbite and rudely nibbles on
carrots while asking, “What’s up, Doc?”
- What famous cartoon hunter is constantly in search
of a “screwy wabbit?”
- Remember Popeye the Sailor Man? What was his
emaciated girlfriend’s name? (Did you ever wonder if Popeye was
the father of Sweetpea ?)
- Whose famous line is, “I thot I thaw a puddy tat?”
(What was the stalking cat’s name?)
- And finally, Can you name all of the Jetson family
(including the dog)?
