no dough has changed hands here
nor will it:
the banner ads on each page
are the price that yahoo/geocities charge for free space.
period.

a new voice: the roots

my dad was born in glasgow of scottish stock
my mom was born in toronto of english and irish stock
my red hair and freckles are visible physical links to those
lands

my spirit came with its own itinerary

i knew wanted to be an interior designer
i wanted to know why jews and christians were at odds about jesus
i wanted to know why the racial acrimony in little rock happened
i wanted to know why the orange order hated catholics

all before i hit puberty

my life expanded with work and play
into the big city and the big wide world

til i hit the diagnosis of parkinson's

i was being slowed down for a reason
a hint was revealed to me
the physical world lost its substance
the financial world lost its value

my spirit was ravenous
it said feed me

so i read and read
and learned and learned
and am still reading and learning
over and over again

that's why i am here
that's why you are here with me

i found a voice in the written word at the same time
as i found the internet and other parkies
(a triple whammi)

the song continues
and has resulted (so far)
in 700 pages on my website
comprising 5000 messages 500 medical abstracts 800 news items
which discuss pd (and other things)

sharing what i have learned with you
as you have shared with me
