Powder Puffs for
Parkinsons |
|
Canadian Corner
On July 25, 2002 Lynda McKenzie and Janet Carlisle will be raising money for the Jack and Mary Clark research fund for Parkinsons Disease. This event, affectionately known as the Parkinson Powder Puff, will be hosted by Mark Clark at her beautiful property, Highland Thoroughbred Farms. We will be starting our day at 10:30am and hope to run until 330. Powder Puff attendees will be pampered with massage therapy, foot scrubs with fancy fixins, a spa lunch complete with a glass of wine, a chance to hear Chosh give her perspective on the PAN conference, a leisurely swim in a pool overlooking 81 acres of farmland and a view that spans 25 miles. Attendees may also stroll through the gardens, hopefully they don't get lost, visit the horses, attend a fashion show, have a pedicure, manicure or hair trim, have their tea leaves read and then keep the cup, win a door prize, enter a raffle for a beautiful hand painted treasure box and take home a gift bag of goodies.
We are charging per person, limiting the numbers to 40 and hope to raise more than a thousand dollars. Not bad for a day of pampering.... We'll keep you posted, and maybe pampered too... Sure will be a nice way to start the Canadian summer.
