Hello,
I’m writing to tell you about a new monthly series in Virtuality
called Tim’s Tips. Tim’s Tips will be informational articles providing
the specifics about a wide array of topics that we deal with or wish to
know more about. I do not get online as much as I would like to but when
I do, it is to do research on products or ideas to help the disabled. I
end up with more links than I could imagine and often times the links
have taken a turn into something completely different. Just recently, I
was looking for information on Yellowstone National Park. I ended up
with all sorts of information on Travel Services for the disabled and
traveling tips which some how brought me to assistance dogs
for those with Parkinson’s!?!
Here are a few topics of what you will be reading – Handicapped Travel,
Parenting, Mobility Aids, Computer Aids, Home Design, Hobbies, various
Disability Acts, and more. The idea to assemble all this information I
collect came to me when a woman sent me a whole bunch of caregiver tips
for my web site. Each month I will comment, review, and provide links to
sites relevant to that month’s topic. I will also announce next month’s
topic so that people can send in suggestions, items, or articles to
review.
Next month I will be writing Computer Tools for the Disabled. Voice
dictation, email readers, and visual aids are example of a few. If you
have a favorite program let me know. Most of the programs I have come up
with are free and I will provide links! Please email with your
suggestions for articles or information you may have on the next month’s
articles.

A note from the editor; Tim Foley has an
article in last months issue of "V" about MSA (which Tim has). You
